Gifts of Stock or securities are an excellent way to support TMBCC & Kumbum Chamste-Ling Temple. A gift of appreciated securities that you have held for more than one year is frequently the most economical way to make a gift.
A gift of stock can generate favorable tax benefits — you may avoid paying capital gains tax on the increase in value of the stock, you may qualify for an income tax deduction for the full fair-market value of the stock at the time of the gift, and your gift may qualify for an Indiana state tax credit if you are an Indiana resident. How to make a stock transfer: The most common and efficient method of giving securities is an electronic transfer. (It is critical that you transfer the securities themselves, rather than the proceeds from a sale to take advantage of the charitable tax benefits.) The preferred method of transfer is directly from your brokerage to The Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center.

Preserve the Kumbum Chamtse-Ling Temple: We Need Your Help!
The Kumbum Chamtse-Ling Temple at the TMBCC is in urgent need of a new roof! After years of trying our best to manage frequent leaks with temporary, do-it-yourself fixes, it is time for a permanent solution to prevent serious water damage to the inside of our beloved sanctuary.
The Kumbum Chamtse-Ling Temple at the TMBCC is in urgent need of a new roof! After years of trying our best to manage frequent leaks with temporary, do-it-yourself fixes, it is time for a permanent solution to prevent serious water damage to the inside of our beloved sanctuary.
We are launching a $71,000 fundraising campaign to completely replace the roof. This major project includes a fully fabricated wrap roofing system, new coping metals, and the replacement and proper flashing of our skylights.
While $71,000 is a significant goal, it is completely achievable when our community comes together. Whether you are a dedicated Dharma student or a cherished visitor, your contribution matters. A small donation of $10, $25, or $50 combines with the generosity of others to help us reach our target step by step.
